ACCIDENT ON PAKURA

MAN’S HEAD CUT OPEN

While working on the steamer Pakura yesterday, a watersider named Walter Cowan, 50 years of age, and living at 19, Newton Avenue, Wellington, received a severe cut on the head, also sustaining concussion. It appears that he slipped on the deck and struck his head on the hits. He was admitted to the hospital at 5.45 p.m., and late last evening was reported to he progressing satisfactorily.
