SUCCESSFUL BREEDERS.

AWARDS DURING THU DAY. The Woodville breeder, Mr C. Jones, was again very successful in the dairy heifer classes, and secured several of the principal prizes. Mr E. W. Leach and Mr A. Hades, also of Woodville, and Mr 1. V'. Bryant of Ruawliata, also gained a number of leading awards. In the Jersey section, the chief prize-winning stock belonged to Air F V. Bryant, Mr K. S. Hoi da way, Mr <j. Jones, Mr A. Falkner, and Mr R. C. Leach. There was only a limited exhibit of Fricsians. Mr P. C. Neilsen’s bull annexed the championship, and Mr S. G. Morgan’s bull was allotted a reserve championship. "ylr S. Holton and Mr J. de La Y "" Have, were the only exhibitors w ith Milking Shorthorns, and the honours went to the first named. In ono or two instances decisions given at the Woodville show were these two breeders were represented were yesterday reversed in favour of Mr Bolton.

The sheep section has of recent years fallen off m support. Messrs R. Haliburton, A. Hoggard and A Geange penned Romneys, while Air Hoggard was the sole entrant with Loucolns. The fat sheep and fat lamb classes however, attracted fairly good competition. Woodville breeders as well as local fiockowners figured among the prizewinners.
