TROUBLE AT BLACKBALL.
VICTIMISATION ALLEGED. Electric Telegraph—Press Association Wellington. l.ist Nighty In connection with the alleged victimisation of two men, McLeggan and Henderson, by the Blackball Coal Company, it is announced that *the Company is agreeable to reinstate McLeggan, but lias refused to reinstate Henderson under any conditions. As a protest against w liat it terms the deliberate and vindictive victimisation, tlie Miners Federation has decided upon taking united notio” on Monday next.
Mr Arbuckle, Secretary of th© Federation states that the men concerned are clean-living men. and the Union has tried all the means in its power to settle the dispute. The Federation, before taking any action, which would cause a breach that might involve New Zealand in industrial trouble has placed tlie position before Mr Massey, -who lias obtained a re|K>rt from the Under-Secretary tor Alines. Air Arbuckle says that it is onlv fair that the Prime Minister should make that report available to the public.
