A fire destroyed the Economic stores one of the chief drapery businesses in Perth, and a chemist's shop adjoining. A cafe was also severely damaged. At one time .the fire threatened to destroy the whole block, which is in the heart of tlie cite. The damage is estimated at £IOO.OOO.
