'lTie Government, it is understood, has agreed to the appointment of a hoard fo investigate the claims made by various branches of the railway service for increased wages, on account of tlie alterations in the cost of living, which the men claim have taken) place since the present wages schedule was determined. The board will be similar to those which previously conducted inquiries into the nay and conditions of different branches of the service.
