Agricultural strikers at Treviso held up trains, and forced landowners to sign a contract-. The last sitting of the Chamber of Deputies before Signor Nitti resigned ended: in a free fight between the Right Deputies and the Socialists. PRO-GER MAN INF LUENCE. (Received this day at 11.10 a.m.) Paris, June 10. The newspapers express anxiety lest Giolletti’s return may produce a pro-German trend in the Italian policy. Giolletti’s organ. the’ “Stampa.’ says lie will not attend the Spa Conference. It is understood that Giolletti has already prepared a list of Ministers, rigidly excluding the pro-war element. Giolletti’s will insist on the settlement of the Adratic on the lines of the Pact of London. Giiolettian circles assert that Nitti rode for a fall, and the, bread decree was only a pretext for bis resignation. The real reason was that he found the Adriatic problem insoluble

Troops drove the rebels out of new Rari. but they built barricades in tlie old town and fired on tlie troops. There arc many dead and wounded on hull sides.
