FATAL FRACAS.
AN UNKNOWN ASSAILANT Electric Telegraph—Press Association Auckland, June 11 At an inquiisit into the death of David John Stanley, a waterside worker, wlio was injured in a fracas on the Central wharf on April 19th, and who died in tlie hospital on May Mtli, it was stated that deceased/ was sit,ruck <xn the hood by a sailor of foreign nationality. The latter was s/een standing over flecoasod. wlio was prostrate. Deceased stated 'that* he had boon struck on the head with a bottle. A verdict wan returned that Stanley died as the result of an übooss on tho brain, the result, of a blow from a man who has not boon identified.
