PURCHASE NOT SETTLED. Electric Telegraph—Press Association Wellington. Last Night The Prime Minister has been informed by the Chairman of the Oversea.-’ Shipping Committee (New Zealand) that a message from the London Tonnage Committee states that -pace is not to be allotted for any more butter from New Zealand unless reference is first made to the London Corn, mittee. Mr Massey is still awaiting a reply from the Imperial authorities to his numerous representations as to the intention of the British Government regarding New Zealand butter. He cabled the High Commissioner on Tuesday on the subject.
