Although no announcement as to the result of Saturday's conference between the Prime Minister and Sir Joseph Ward has yet been made, it is understood that the general election will be held this year. Probably a. part of the Government’s sessional programme will be held over. It. is expected that the Education Bill will lie reported by the Education Committee late this week or next week.
