Also started: Pip, Providence, Lady Sabretache, Dandy, Breeze, Ballygo wan, Fleet Arrow. Won by three lengths. Time, 3min 19 l-ssec. Nursery Handiap: Worley The Knut 1, Sea Deil 2, Loyal Arch 3. Also started: Lady of Lourdes, Lazy Girl, Okor, Glissando, Multishine. Won by a short head. Time, 50 4-5 se. Avondale Guineas: Mullingar,B.lo, (Deeley) 1, Castalia 8.5 2, Bedford 8.10 3. Also started: Ulster, Graduate, Marble Star. Won very easily by two lengths. Time, lmin 42sec. Plumpton Handicap: Monojack 1, Yankee Doodle 2, Kaween 3. Also started: Goldsize, King Soult, Warcester. Devastation. Won by a length. Time, lmin 56sec. King Soult broke his coronary bone, but an effort- will be made to save him for stud purposes. Mt. Albert Steeples: Vestal 1, Kauroa 2, Ruffy 3. Also started .- Bomiy, Sportsman, Coronade, Rangitane, Ngatoa, Goldborne, Poictiers, Master Leslie, Atuhuere, Ned Morley, Mapuna, Koto. Won by three lengths. Only six finished. Time, Grain. 8 3-ssec.
