HOCKEY,. Electric Telegraph-—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. The English ladies’ hockey team met the reps, of Otago on Saturday afternoon and secured a victory by six goals to nil. The local team made a good showing, but the splendid combination of the visitors’ forward line aided by good all-round play ot their backs never left the issue in doubt. RUGBY FOOTBALL. Wellington. Last Night. AVel'lington defeated Otago yesterday by 25 points to 11. The Wellington reps, excelled themselves in the open game and were quicker and neater and generally more effective, and such fine passing by Wellington has rarely characterised football on the Park. Otago on the either hand played a slashing forward game and did very well to get out of it with a score of 25 to 11. E. Roberts was it. great form and kicked three penalty goals, all from near half-way. SCULLING. Sydney, Last Night. Rowing for the New South Wales championship of £IOO aside Towns beat R iplev by two lengths.
