The following forecast was issued by the Government meteorologist (Rev. D. C. Bates) at noon to-day: Indications are for southerly mod- <■ rate to strong winds squally at times. Weather probably cold and showery, and night very cold ,then the weather should improve. Expect high barometric pressure.
