A threatened National railway strike has been averted by the Board of Arbitration granting thirty thousand locomotive engineers increased wages. The purpose of the aggregate meeting is to discuss the Russell ease. All unions are asked to support it. The threatened crisis has thus been averted, and the mini's will resume to-morrow.
