THE “KANGAROOS” TOUR,
Electric Telegraph—press Association, Copyright.
Perth, April 13. Mr Giltman, manager of the “Kangaroos,” returned to-day. He attributed the financial failure of the professionals’ tour to the cotton strike in the North of England, and toe the press being dead against them on account of the charge for admission. The prices usually charged 1 were twopence and fourpenee, but during the tour the charge was Is. He believes that no amateur team will ever again, be invited to England from the colonics, as the result of the Scottish Rugby Union’s decision in regard to professionalism.
