UNDER GASLIGHT.
Once more the Taylor-Cari ington Company visit Pahiatua, appearing at the Olympic Theatre to-night (Wednesday), and with reference to the play to be staged on this occasion we quote the lollowing paragraph, which speaks for itself: "Despite the tremendous opposition of Williamson's Opera Company and the American Circus, the Taylor-Carrington continue.to draw cowded bouses at the Gaiety Theatre. Week alter week new plays are produced, and nignt after .’light they are greeted with huge and enthusiastic audiences. The support this company had met with is phenomenal in the theatrical annals of Brisbane. Their latis-t production. "Under Gaslight. is unquestionably one of their h<*st. The plot is feasible the language interesting, the situations powerful, tla- stage effects sensational in the extreme. The scenic effects are beautiful, and the raiiwuy realism so well managed that it works the audience up to the highest pitch of excitement. "Brisbane Com ler."
