A MAN WHO SWORE BEFORE A MAYOR.

1113 worship tho Mayor of Walcba N.S.W., rccirPly received a rcijuoH which surprised him greatly. I' was to take* the sworn testimony of a selector, Mr I tenia Walsh, as to ! the benefits ho bad derived from Dr ! Williams* Pink Pills for Pale People, which he had taken for Dright’s disease. In order to learn the exact facta a reporter of the Walcha Witness went out a few days ago. “ Is it a fact,” lie asked, " that you have been cured by Dr Williams’ Pink Pills “ It, is,” be replied. 11 I was in grwafc pain for a lon# time, hut 1 can now do any umount of hard work with the greatest of ease* I fir | felt the pain after hem# thrown from a horse, and was laid up for eight months. I tried . 'mod everythin# without receiving :»ny benefit.” “ And what is your object in givin# an unsolicited testimonial ?" “ Simply that others may derive I benefit by the same means. Tor a lon# time I was in such frightful I agony that I could do nothin#. I had to crawl to a lo# to get on my I horse. 1 could not hold myself upright. 1 saw different doctors. One told me that my spino had been 1 injured, and that 1 should have* to | undergo an operation. Another said I had Dright’s disease. After a time l saw Dr Williams’ Pink Tills advertised. i tried to get a box, but no

one kept them in Walcha, so I sent 1 direct to Sydney for the first two boxes. After taking the first box I obtained relief, and oontinued to do so until completely cured. I have used five boxes in all. Life is now a pleasure. I can mount my horse with ease, raise heavy logs, and I feel as well as ever. I have recommended the pills to other sufferers to their great benefit. While taking the pills I followed the directions given on each box. Many people I know have taken them without adhering to the instructions, and obtained no relief. Rubbing did me no good; but after taking Dr Williams' Pink Pills, I was convinced that my complaint was caused by the state of my blood. 1 oan now run up and down the falls with the best of the hands on the station. The men on the station knew the pains I suffered and the expense I was put to in my endeavors to find relief from torture.” " You certainly look well,” the reporter remarked. “ Yes, thanks to Dr Williams’ Pink Pills.” Following is the sworn testimony of Mr Walsh : II Sir, —I have been a sufterer for 22 years with Bright's disease and a bad back, and very often could not lace my boots, and would have to go on my knees to gather anything from the ground. At times I was completely useloss, and suffered considerable pain when I moved about, and lost the use of my legs. I tried every remedy and various doctors, even Chinese, but without any benefit. I then saw your advertisement about Dr Williams' Pink Pills, and resolved to give them a trial. After using the first box I felt considerably improved, and went on using them with the result that I am now quite cured, have no pains in the back, and I feel as young as I did 25 years ago; in fact, I never felt better than I do now, and consider your pills a most valuable medicine. (Signed) DENIS WALSH. Signed and declared before me this yjth day of January, 1897. Ja:.ies N. B. Watts, Mayor, Walcha. The genuine Dr Williams’ Pmk Pills aro sold only in wooden boxes, about two inches in length, in a wrapper with the full name, Dr Williams’ Pink Pills for Pale People, printed in red. They are never sold in bulk, or from glass jars, and any dealer who offers substitutes in tins form should be avoided. In case of doubt it is better to send direct to the Dr Williams’ Medicine Company, Wellington, N.Z., enclosing the price, 3s a box, or six boxes for 15s 7d. These pills are not a purgative, and they contain nothing that could injure the most delicate. As a spring medicine Dr Williams’ Pink Pills far surpass all other remedies. Their action on the blood and nerves is prompt, and the effect is wonderful. Lassitude gives way to a feeling of renewed energy, and the lurking seeds of disease, resulting from the indoor confinement of the winter months, are speedily expelled from the Bystem. These pills are sold only in boxes, the wrapper around which bears the full trade mark, “ Dr Williams’ Pmk Pills for Pale People.” A pill, even if colored pink, offered in any other form, is a fraudulent imitation, and should be promptly refused. Buyers will protect themselves against imposition by bearing this in mind.
