FORESTERS AND KNIGHTS OF LABOR SPORTS.
A meeting of the committee of the combined sports was held last evening. Present Messrs A. Reese (chairman), T. Hawke, Stratford, Parkes, Gore and Proctor.
Mr J. D. Wilson was appointed secretary of the Sports Committee and Mr W. Parkes treasurer.
The programme was then considered. Officers were then elected as follow ;—Committee —Messrs A. Reese, W. Parkes, J. D. Wilson, T. Hawke, A. Quinlan, T. Gore, J. Stratford. W. Proctor. Judges—Running, Dr. Gault, A. Stewart, A. Reese, C. Avery , walking, jumping, stone and hammer throwing and bicycling, Messrs R. Smith, Tosswill. Quinlan and W. Brown ; handicappers, Messrs W. Brown and C. Avery; starter, Mr G. Avery; timekeeper, Mr Mcßain.
Messrs Parkes and Gore were appointed canvassers. The number of bicycle races was increased to five, including an open handicap tlutter of half-a-mile.
