MR SEDDON IN ENGLAND.
Cordial Reception.
Storage Facilities for New Zealand Produce.
The Acting-Premier, the Hon J. McKenzie, on Friday last received a lengthy cable message from Mr Seddon, from which it appears that the Premier is taking advantage of every opportunity which offers to make himself acquainted with tho possibilities of the New Zealand produce trade in England. He refers, as a matter for congratulation, to the fact that cool stores have been erected at Glasgow and Manchester. I Mr Seddon has had as yet but little time for enjoyment, having during tho past week visited Liverpool, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester and Cambridge. He intends paying another visit to Manchester, which city he appears to consider offers special advantages as a market for New Zealand produce, for he remarks : —“ It would be a grand thing if we could get a steamer load of New Zea'and products sent direct to Manchester, which is the distributing centre for seven millions of consumers.” Amongst other matters, Mr Seddon mentions that he bad an interview with the directors of the Manchester Co-operative Association. Mr Fairborn, ho says, leaves for the Australasian colonies next week to represent the Association. At the different places visited Mr Seddon found that a friendly feeling, especially towards New Zealand, existed, and he makes special reference to the kind manner iu which ho has been received everywhere.
