The Proposal Carried. The poll on the proposal to bring into i l.'nimprovcd Values Act lHUti, wan held on Saturday, when the pro poHtil wuh curried by a very substantial majority. At first it was feared by tin: fi n nds of the innovation that sufficient votes to give effect to the victory would id t bo polled, but as the day woro on the number of voters increased and all fear (m that score was removed.
