The negotiation* which were commenced in last by the shipping companies making an offer to carry meal at reduced rate* provided satisfactory arrangement & in other particulars could be arrived at, and winch have been carried on since by tLe Christchurch Meat Company, have been sali-facicnly concluded. An agreement has been arrived at reducing the freight to 1 per pound in sumtnet and id in the winter. The reduction takes effect almost immediately.
