STOCK REPORT.
Messrs Abraham aad Williams report: —A foil master of sheep eeme forward et Palmerston yesterday. Bidding wee somewhat alow. Some of the lambs end wethers failed to reach vendors’ figures, but the bulk of the other sheep found purchasers. Cattle were in moderate numbers. Female stock receded considerably in value, dairymen declining to purchase where an early prospeot of profit is wanting, and this was a noticeable feature in the heifers under offer. Bullocks were well competed for ; thin elass, though lacking condition, had the merit of age and quality. A purebred Ayrshire eew, the property of Mr Hugh Gillies, made 14$ guineaa. Cattle.—Large-framed stores, £i 18s 6d to £5 ; others, j£4 11s ; heifers, j£3 6s 6d to A’4 ; store cows, J£2 8s 6d to JS3 4s; small wsaners, 225. Sheep.—Store wethere, 10e ; 2-tooth ewee, lie 7d ; smell do., 8s fid; ewea, mixed ages, 0s 3d to 7s ; oulls, 4a to 4s 8d; choice wether lambs, 8s 9d; others, fie 8d to 6s 9d.
Pigs.—Rough stores, ‘2s 8d to 5s fid; well-bred slips, 7s 7d to 10e Bd.
