Mr Hall has had an interview with the Commissioner of Crown Lands respecting the reserve for a library at Ballanoe, and was informed this could be done by taking part of the reserve gazetted for public purposes without infringing the law. Mr Hall will take action to have this dona as soon as possible. With respect to the Woodville Courthouse, the Minister of Justice ! informed Mr Hall the repairs will cost £l5O. The Government will likely increase the expenditure and make additions to the building, providing witnesses’ and solicitors’ rooms. Mr Hogg has applied to the Minister of Lands for a grant of £SOO for road construction in the Stirling Special S ttlcment," near Ekotahuna.
