POSTAL ARRANGEMENTS.
(To the Editor, i
Sir.—l was glad to note t at you considered the matter of I’alii«;.;a ** postal conveniences " of sufficient importance to
make them the subject of a sableader m vour is«ue of the *2vn:i ult. Your remarks about a letter earner 1. in common with many others, thoroughly endorse. There is another little mailer which I think might be ventilated with advantage, and which more particularly interests those having correspondence going by the northern mail express. I allude to the fact that ail letters required to catch the train leaving Wood villa at 1*2'40 p.iu. must go in one of the mad bags carr.ed by the coach leaving Pahiatua at K a.in. This uivans virtually posting them the night before. Now as another coach leaves Pahiatua for the purpose of catching the mail train at 11 ami., is there any valid reason why the northern express moil from this town should not go by that coach ?—thus enabling resident* to post their letters up to say 10.30 a.ui. instead of over night as st present. Trusting you will have more to say on these matters. 1 am. etc..
W illiam Boole.
