Sir, Would it not be well, think you, if the local authorities were to compel all owners of cesspits within the Borough to do away with them at once ? I am informed that there are numerous instances of owner* of pro perries were retaining cesspits to the detriment of public health. Oaspits are one of the worst form* of receptacles for typhoid, and should not In* allowed to exist under any circuit) stance. 1 truet therefore the Council will at once cause the ab&temant of the cesspit nuisance.—l am, etc., Resident.
