SATURDAY’S MATCHES.DUNEDIN. . Suppoiters of the League code were P-eased to learn that the dispute between the Christian Brothers and City teams was settled On Saturday. The two sides, alter a little delay, took the field at the Oval, and a good game, played in the best of spirit, was won bv City bv the narrow margin of 3 points to 2. Athletic, showing greatly improved form, accounted for Pacific by 9 points to 3 points. IN OTHER CENTRES AUCKLAND. League games yesterday resulted as follows:— Ponsonby 26. Marist 21. Devonport 18, Newton 11. City 14, Richmond 10. CHRISTCHURCH. League matches were played to-dav in fine weather, the results being as follows:— Hornby 20. Addington 7 Sydenham 22, Riccarton 7. THE ENGLISH TEAM ANOTHER EASY WIN. BRISBANE, June 21. At Rockhampton the English Ru"by League team defeated Central Queensland by 63 to 21. A WIN AT TOWNSVILLE. BRISBANE, June 26. In the League football match at Townsville England beat North Queensland by 20 points to 2.
