The Amazon and its tributaries drain 2,700,000 square miles and have 40,000 miles of navigable water. Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M., commented in the Magistrate’s Court at Christchurch the other morning on the looseness in the Licensing Act. “If there is a member of Parliament present—and I think I saw one —I would like to say that it is only one of hundreds of instances of looseness in legislation.” he said.
