An errant rooster held up traffic at the intersection of Colombo ancl Tuain streets, Christchurch, for a few minutes the other morning. He and another White Leghorn gained their liberty when a car in which they were travelling collided with a motor cycle. No one was hurt. One of the roosters was fairly easily captured after his escape from the damaged crate which held him, but the other drew a small crowd as it strutted across the street, missing death by a few inches from passing vehicles. One tram, in the path of which the rooster stood, was brought to a standstill. After another narrow escape the rooster was cornered and caught.
