CONDITIONS AT HOME.

GRADUALLY IMPROVING IN TONE. AUCKLAND, April 21. Paying one of his periodical visits to the Dominion, Sir Reginald Tuck, of London, director of the famous firm of Raphael Tuck and Sons, Ltd., arrived at Auckland by the Maunganui. Sir Reginald is a son-in-law of Mr N. A. Nathan, of Auckland, and to-day joined Lady Tuck, who has been staying with her parents for several weeks. He intends to stay in Auckland for about five weeks.

“ There is a gradually improving tone in London business circles,” Sir Reginald said. “ The period of world-wide industrial depression is now disappearing. The conditions in Australia are far from good, and the country will have to be prepared for the lean time. However, Australia has such great potentialities that it is impossible to think that that country will suffer for any length of time.”
