SANDERS CUP TRIALS. EILEENS THIRD SUCCESSIVE WIN. Eileen secured her third successive win on Saturday afternoon, when she crossed the finishing line five minutes in the lead of Kia Ora in the Sanders Cup trial, sailed on the Upper Harbour. The conditions were ideal, the wind blowing fresh and steady from the south-west. It was, in fact, the best sailing breeze experienced for such trials during this and last season. Eileen and Kia Ora were the only starters. Each boat carried a crew of four, and each raced under shortened sail. In such a fresh breeze the boats covered the windward and leeward eburse in quick time. The official sailing times:— Eileen. 53m' 51s 1 Kia Ora, 58m 54s ' 2 AUCKLAND CHALLENGES. AUCKLAND, November 27. The Auckland Yacht and Motor Boat Association decided to-night to challenge Canterbury for the Sanders Cup.
