ASTRONOMICAL NOTES FOR DECEMBER.
THE SUN. The sun's path during the month of December will be in R.A. from 16.29.28 to 18.41.44. in south declination from 21.49.8 to 23.6.9. and in longitude from 249.4.1 to 279.35.24. The summer solstice occurs on thc 22nd. THE MOON. The phases of the moon will be as
THE PLANETS. Mercury will be in R.A. from 15.50.15 to 19.15.39, and in south declination from 19.44.30 to 24.26.51. It will be in conjunction with the moon on the 11th. and with Saturn on the 15th. It will be in superior conjunction with the sun on the 18th. Venus will be in R.A. from 19.16.8 to 21.43.53, and in south declination from 24.25.25 to 15.30.0. It will be in conjunction with the moon on the 15th.
Mars will be in R.A. from 6.29.24 to 5.41.6, and in north declination from 25.40.58 to 26.47.14. It will be in opposition to the sun on the 21st, and -in conjunction with the moon on the 26th. Jupiter will be in R.A. from 1.59.7 to 1.55.14, and in north declination from 10.41.35 to 10.29.59. It will be in conjunction with the moon on the 22nd, and will be stationary on the 26th. , Saturn will be iu R.A. from 17.17.22 to 17.32.32, and in south declination from 21.53.8 to 22.7.39. It will be in conjunction with the moon on the 12th, and with the sun on the 13th.
Uranus will be in conjunction with the moon on the 20th, and Neptune will be in conjunction on the 30th.
