A good story against his own cloth was told by_ the Rev. J. Erntfst Parsons at a meeting of the Palmerston North Rotary Club (reports an exchange). A man had been asked to meet and welcome a strange clergyman at a busy railway station. He hunted the platform, high and low seeking this parson. At last seeing a man who answered the popular description he_ approached him and asked: “Excuse me, but are you the Rev. ?”_ And received in reply: “I’m sorry; its indigestion that makes me look like that!” An information bureau is to be established at Taupo Landing Reserve, which will contain all up-to-date information, not only regarding Taupo fisheries, but also other matters of interest to anglers and visitors (says a northern paper). An angler’s bulletin will be issued on the lines of a weather report, giving details of fish caught, weights of fish, and the lures used, together with information about rivers and streams. It is hoped tq make the entrance to the reserve worthy of surroundings.
