DITCHING PLOUGH.
This ditcher is of heavy design and is adjustable for depth of cut and width of aitch. Its weight is carried on the bottom runner bar and two wheels, and by means of hand levers the cutter bar and mould boards may be raised or lowered—or the height of the wheels rnav be adjusted as regards the frame.
SEEDING MACHINE.
• l S an at ' tac l>ment designed for use in the hoppers of seeding machines, when using seed inclined to bunch. In the rotation of the feed wheel, the knocker housing passes behind a bent bar, which then rides out and over it, until it passes when is is suddenly released and kicks back due to the compression of its spring. This kick violently agitates the seed. STOCK WATERER.
.This tile or concrete wall waterer is S&signed for cold weather conditions. The main feed is to the upper trough, through a float valve, and the lower trough is fed from the upper, also through a float valve. Ihe body of the structure is buried below the ground. and the lower trough openings are shielded from prevailing winds by shield plates. Artificial heating is also provided.
PLOUGH LIFT MECHANISM.
This mechanism is particularly adapted for plural bottom ploughs, the lift power being taken through a special clutch from the ground wheel. By an ingenious cam arrangement a slow, powerful lift is secured without resorting to gearing, the slowest and strongest lift being obtained at the beginning of the lift when the power required is greatest. a TRACTOR HITCH FOR PLOUGHS.
This direct - coupling is designed for Fordson type tiactors. The number of parts is reduced to a minimum and the connection is very short, a much smaller turning area than usual being therefore required, and a greater proportion of downward pull of the plough is cairied by the tractor, thereby increasing the latter’s traction grip.
PRUNING IMPLEMENT.
The chief feature of these shears is the arrangement of the special hinge bushing. Designed for heavy work, with correspondingly rapid wear at the joint, this renewable bushing permits the implement to be kept in good operating condition.
