A good deal of wheat, especially in the thicker crops, was knocked down* In- the rain a week ago (says the Timaru Herald). The bright sunshine this week, however, has done a lot of good, and most of the crops are again standing up. Much of the crop is as yet very green, and a late harvest is predicted.
