Some philosophy was included in a report to the Canterbury Rugby League the other night by Mr J. Carlaw, one of Canterbury’s delegates to the New Zealand Council (says the Lyttelton Times). "Whatever happened in the past is a dead letter,” he said, “ and the future; is what matters. The game will go ahead more rapidly if the whole of the leagues pull together and be loyal to the governing body, which, from long experience, has only one object in view—namely, the welfare of the code."
