in the Blenheim Supreme Court Mr Justice Alpers sentenced John David M’Kenzie, who pleaded guilty in the lower court to setting fire to a three-roomed dwelling at Seddon, to probation for three years and ordered hini to pay costs within 14 days. George Powell Gough, who pleaded cuilty to ■ three charges of forgery and uttering cheques, received six months’ imprisonment with hard labour and reformative treatment for a period not exceeding two years.
