ANNUAL MEETING. WELLINGTON, February 17. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Newspaper Proprietors’ Association was held to-day. * The following officers were elected: —President, Mr C. W. Earle ; General Committee—Messrs Earle (chairman), A. G. Henderson, W. Easton, EL Horton, W. C. Leys, R. B. Bell, J. Coombe, A. M’Nicol; Advertising Committee—Messrs Coombe (chairman), Easton, G C. Codlin, A. M. Burns, E. A. Blundell, R. P Furness; Labour Committee —Messrs A. G. Henderson (chairman), E. C. Huie, Codlin, W. C. Weston, P. Bond (with power to elect another) ; Paper Committee—Messrs Leys, Horton, P. Blundell, Huie, E. G. Kerr; Parliamentary Committee—Messrs. Burns, L. Blundell, Huie, S. H. Palmer-Jones; treasurer, Mr W. J. Blundell; auditor. Mr G. S. M’Nair; secretary, Mr L. J. Berry. It was resolved that the association place on record its deep regret at the death of old honoured members—Sir Henry Brett, Mr Arthur Copping, the Hon. W. J. Geddis, and Mr F. Pirani, and its appreciation of their, earnest lives and long and valuable services to the Dominion, and that the sympathy of the association be conveyed ■to the relatives. Sympathy was also extended to Mr Burns (Christchurch) and Mr Lucas (Nelson) in their recent bereavements. The Pictorial News of the New Era Printing Company (Auckland), the Westport Times, and the Westport News were added to membership of the association.
