WOOL COMMITMENTS.

PROTEST AGAINST CURTAILMENT. _ CHRISTCHURCH, Febrt’arv 1. The Canterbury woolgrowers and brokers view with concern the decision of the New Zealand V\ 00l Committee to limit to 20,000 bales the allotment for the third sale on February 9. It is said that this allotment will release for sale only twotmrds of the wool at present in the stores at Christchuich. Strenuous efforts are being made bv fhe brokers to have the allotment increased by at least SCCO bales. Ihe action of the committee is regarded as a serious handicap to the industry in Canterbury, and an unwarranted curtailment of excellent marketing opportunities.
