SANITARY INSPECTORS.
CONFERENCE AT AUCKLAND. ■ AUCKLAND, January 25. The seventh annual conference of the New Zealand Sanitary Inspectors’ Association was opened in the Town Hall by Mr J. A. C. Allum. a member of the City Council. The president (Mr H. Paul, of Auckland) presided, there being about 50 delegates present from all parts of New Zealand. The annual report stated that the membership for the past year was 149. It was apparent from centre reports that the members were taking a keen interest in the association’s work. The financial statement showed a credit balance of £B7 and a cash balance of £69 in the bank, being an increase of £23 on last year’s balance. The. net cost of publishing the association’s journal was £4l. Mr H. M. C. Robertson, of Wellington, and Mr T. Tomlinson, of Christchurch, were elected auditors for the ensuing year. The General Council is as follow-s: —Messrs N. F. Furness nd W. W. Murray (Auckland), T. Schou rd T. Tomlinson (Canterbury), E. Sinclair (Otago), J. Huggins (Wanganui-Taranaki), C. Eggie and W. B. Gough (Wellington), and E. Grant (Hawke’s Bay).
