OLD IDENTITY PICNIC.

The Port Chalmers Old Identity Association held its annual picnic on January 22 ah Quarantine Island, and- there was a good' attendance. Among those present were Mr W. Patterson (Jura 1858); Mr J. Purdy (Nelson 1863); Mr G. Brown (Pladda 1861); Mr and Mrs J. Brown (Resolute 1862); Mr R, Miller (Robert Henderson 1858); Mr W. Love (Storm Cloud 1861); Mr A. R. Sutherland (Nelson 1863); Mr J. M'Lachlan (E. P. Bouverie 1864): Mr S. Voisey (Chariot of Fame 1861), Mr J. T. Thomson (Kate KKearncy 1857); Mr J. Hempseed (Strathfieldsay 1858), Mr E. Godfred (Dever Carta 1872), Mr W. 11. Ferens (John Wickliffe descendant). A programme of sports for the children, and youths was carried out, and there were also singing competitions. The president (Mr J. T. Thomson) welcomed the visitors and thanked Mr _R y . C. Miller for placing the island at their disposal for the day’s outing. Mr W. Paterson and Mr W. H. Ferens responded on behalf of the. visitors.
