Mr Park pointed out in his letter that on June 30 of this vear he would reach a ripe age and he asked that his resignation should take effect from that date. He expressed his sincere gratitude to members of the board for the courtesy shown him during his term of office. The relations that had existed between the board and himself had always been particularly friendly and cordial, and he trusted that the consideration he had received would be extended to his successor. The inspectors had always been mest kind and helpful and his thanks were due to the members of the staff who had proved capable and loyal officers. '' Although he was severing his official connection with members of the board and staff and the inspectors he trusted that the friendships he had formed would not be impaired He pointed out that he had held tlie position of secretary for 16 years. The Chairman said that that was not the time to say much about the matter. An opportunity would be presented at a later date. Mr Park had served the Education Board for practically 51 years and they knew the great assistance he had been to them. They would have more to say before June 30.
