Y.M.C.A. BOARD.

MEETING OF DIRECTORS. A fully-attended meeting of the Board of Directors of the Y.M.C.A. was held on Tuesday evening. Captain Sundstrum occupied the chair. The names of Messrs T. Hilliker and J. D. Clark were added to the directorate. The correspondence included a letter from Mr H. W. Kersley (chairman of the National Council) indicating that Mr *• M. Brasted, of Auckland, had been * pointed national secretary, and intimating that the next National Convention would be held in Wellington on June 3. Mr V. T. Drew, general secretary of the Dunedin Y.M.C.A., requested release from his position in order to accept the office of general secretary at Auckland. Mr S. G. Cresswell, acting national secretary, asked that Mr Drew be released as soon as possible, and suggested several names as possible successors. Messrs Sundstrum, Waters, Wilkinson, M’Ara, Salmond, and Darracott were appointed a committee to go into the question of filling the vacancy. The financial statement shoved a debit balance, the total amount of overdraft being £1626 13s 4d The election of office-bearers for the ensuing year resulted as follows President, Captain Sundstrum; vice-presidents— Messrs J.
