BRITISH INDUSTRIES FAIR.
MOST SUCCESSFUL SINCE THE WAR. LONDON, March 4. Mr A. M. Samuel (Parliamentary Secretary, Overseas Trade Department), answering Sir H. Brittain in tne Commons, said it was impossible to give any estimate of business done at the British Industries Fair, but his information was that, both in the volume of actual business at the London and Birmingham sections and in the setting up of connections for future business, the Fair was the most successful which had been held since the war Cards of invitation were presented at the London Fair by 1242 overseas buyers and 55,693 Home buyers, some of the latter being agents of overseas firms, as compared with 1031 and 24.195 respectively in 1924. It was all a question of expense as to whether the Fair would take place in other centres. The cost of advertising must have been repaid to the nation a great many times over.
