A wonderful improvement was mad© to all outdoor areas on Tuesday. The heavy rain of the past clays has had the effect of firming all paths and roadways, while the lawns and flowerbeds are in very promising condition. In the morning gangs were at work smoothing and filling in all muddy patches in front of the buildings, between the amusements area and the left wing of Ihe Exhibition and at the back of the Festival Hall. Everything possible has now been done to ensure the comfort of those who frequent the outdoor portions of the Exhibition and the result, helped by a drying wind and sunshine, is admirable. The Government experimental plots, conducted by the Agriculture Department, are also in good conditions, and are attracting a fair share of attention..
