During the recent visit of Mr J. Horn to Galloway the settlers put before him the necessity of a public telephone at Galloway and the building of a railway goods shed (says the Alexandra Herald) Mr Horn promised to tnke the matter up and get these long-nee led conveniences If possible. In regard to the water question Mr Horn said he considered it best to send a deputation to Wellington on the return of Mr Marks from America to meet Mr Marks and the Minister of Public Works.
