I commenced using it in the year 1917. and I keep 30 hens each year, killing off the two-year-old ones each year. In 1916, before using it. I had only 1,817 eggs from 30 hens. In 1920. from the same number of hens. I had 4,222 eggs, this increase since using Karswood Spice. I had heard of the wonderful effect on poultry from my friends in the Old Country, and on seeing it was for sale in West Australia. I immediately got a tin for trial. All poultry fanciers know that although most spices may help laying for a time, yet they seriously injure the hens in the long run; therefore. I was somewhat dubious ab9ut using it. However, I save it a fair trial. After a fortnight's regular use my egg basket became sensibly fuller. In another week the supply had doubled, while now, five weeks after starting, I am getting three times as many eggs as before using it. I must say I am very gratified, as I doubted if in our climate it would have proved satisfactory. All my birds (100 full grown and 50 chicks) are in first-class condition, active and vigorous; on the young chicks it has a marked good effect. While I do not think spices are good for poultry I do thing Karswood Poultry Spice is, and confidently recommend its use, especially in bad weather. All my poultry are in the open, and have no houses of any kind, roosting on the trees. 20th August, 1921 P. PALMER.
