A Religious Education Training School was recently opened under the auspices of the Otago Council of Sunday School Unions, with Miss F. S. Warner as directress. The object is the improvement of Sunday School Work. At a special meeting of the Dunedin Presbytery on Ibe 24th inst. a call from the Riverton congregation. Southland Presbytery, was placed in the hands of the Rev. •lames Fordyee, cf West Taieri, and accepted by him. Messrs A. Grant andJ. Marshall, representing West Taieri, expressed the regret felt by West Taieri at losing their minister and appreciation of his faithful service.
