MINING DISPUTES. MOVE BY THE EMPLOYERS. WELLINGTON, July 1. Ad.ice was received from Auckland yes terday that the Taupiri and Pukemiro Miners’ Unions have been cited by the Companies concerned, under tho Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act. The effect of tills step is legarded in wellinformed circles as likely to be far-reach-ing, and more than ordinary interest attaches to it on account of it being the first. move made in connection with the mining dispute since April last. When approached on* the matter yesterday. Jlr T. O. Bishop, acting secretary of the Mine-owners’ Association, said he preferred not to make any statement at this stage upon tho citation of the Pukemiro end Taupiri Unions. The secretary of the Miners’ Federation also declined to make any comment on the move.
