CARPENTERS’ DISPUTE.
QUESTION OF WAGES. WELLINGTON, March 3. As a result of carpenters leaving work on account of the Builders’ Association fixing 2s 9d as the maximum wages, several of Hie city building firms ceased operations. The union grates that almost all the men have been re-engaged at 3s or more.
