A large increase in the Customs and I Excise revenue for the quarter ended December 31, 1920, as compared with the corresponding quarter of 1919, is shown in the Gazette issued last week. The revenue from these sources for the last quarter of 1919 was £1,191,661; for- the same period of last year it was £2,192,938. The comparative return of the Customs duties for the two years shows £7,953,477 for 1920 and £4,502,354 for 1919.
