CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER.

SEQUEL TO FATALITY. AUCKLAND, August 20. At an inquest to-day the coroner returned' a verdict that Leonard Norman Fisher died on July 19 from injuries causod by a, collision witt a cycle ridden 'by Carl Melville Hoffman, and that the bicycle was properly lighted. The coroner expressed the opinion that Hoffman, who was riding down an incline, should have been able to see the deceased, and to have avoided him. The police formally charged Hoffman with manslaughter. He was xemanded till August 23, on bail (£200).
